Evidence Says Dependency Will Keep Growing

Since first day of his presidency, Barack Hussein Obama and administration have advanced programs and initiatives that deepen and expand American citizens’ dependency on government. From new federal programs designed to boost economic activity to health care reform that could place the U.S. government at the center of the nation’s health care system, the central thrust of policy since January 2009 has been to increase Americans’ daily dependency on Washington.

Even more disturbing is the growth in the increases in the percentage of taxpayers who pay no taxes and Congress’s control over spending. The percentage that pays no taxes jumped from 21.3 % in 1980 to 34% in 2008. In 1980, 20 million tax filers paid nothing; in 2008, 48 million paid nothing. The percent of people paying no taxes is increasing and will soon reach 50% not paying taxes.

The steady growth of dependency creating programs, particularly the so-called entitlement programs, and the equally steady shrinking number of taxpayers who have any financial stake in the government threaten rapid growth in mandatory, dependency programs and our very democracy.

Is America closing in on the point that endangers the workings of a democratic government? If non productive people can vote ever greater outlays for their income, health, housing, education, and food support; will the growth of government overwhelm the delicate political balances between those citizens who provide the means for helping other people in need?

We are at a turning point fewer Americans are paying for more people’s free ride.  The point will be reached when the taxpayers have had enough and won’t pay more and more of their income into taxes for those who choose to be on the government dole.

The old adage ‘There is no free lunch’ is true.  The socialists keep pushing their agenda on the taxpayers.  Eventually the workers can’t produce enough wealth to support the non productive.  The socialists are destroying America and our freedom.

Bring A Strong America Back

The recession could have been over in 2009.  Barack Hussein Obama and the socialist Democrats don’t want it over.  Yesterday we covered some things to reduce the deficit and end the recession.  Today in Part II we cover more changes needed.

Reduce everyone’s taxes by 10%.  A person spending their money brings the economy back and brings more revenue to the federal government.  We know better how to spend our money than the government does and more efficiently.

Create a business friendly environment.  Part I is reducing business taxes by 10%.  Tax rates on businesses push jobs overseas.  Give businesses better depreciation rates on equipment investment.  Look at all business regulations for improvements and less government involvement. 

Combine federal programs to eliminate bloat, waste, and duplication.  There are many government programs that cross over into many different agencies.

Pass legislation for a balanced budget.  Make it the law that the budget has to be balanced except in dire emergencies.  Then other areas of government need to be cut before we go into deficit.  The government needs to start paying off the national debt.

The government can no longer be all for everyone.  Many social programs need to be looked at and drastic changes made.  Over the next several days here and at SpeakNowConservatives.Org we will address some of these issues.

This is the start to ending the recession and bringing back a strong America.  Some parts will be hard.  But they have to be done.  We can give a better America to our children.  If we don’t want to mortgage our children’s and grandchildren’s future we have to make these changes now.

60 Days Can See Economy Turned Around

If Barack Hussein Obama and the Democrats wanted to end the recession they could.  We could see a turnaround within 60 days.  The ugly glaring truth is they don’t want the economy to improve.  Obama and the Democrats need a very bad economy to force their socialist agenda on America.

The first thing that needs to be done is stop Obama’s slush funds.  Stop the stimulus package and TARP immediately.  Any TARP money still out get it back.  Obama wanted the stimulus package so he can use the money as he sees fit to buy votes in Congress and votes in the 2010 elections.

There has only been approximately 30% of $820 billion dollars of the stimulus money spent.  That means approximately $574 billion has not been spent.  This is Obama’s slush fund for bribes.  There are approximately 300 million Americans.  Give every American citizen men, women, and children $2000.  The government will have to use some of the TARP money to reach the $600 billion needed for the rebate.

The federal government is expanding at a phenomenal rate.  Eliminate 10% of federal jobs.  Some can be through retirement and normal attrition.  But within 90 days reduce the bloated number of federal employees by 10%.  Look very hard at further reductions.

Federal employees are about the only people in America that have received pay raises the last 2 years.  Cut every federal employees pay by 10%.  That includes Congress and the White House.  The pay cuts will be immediate.  Look at their benefit package and make appropriate reductions.  i.e. federal employees have the best benefits packages in America.  Congress has the best retirement package in the world.  After 2 years they are paid for life.  Some have a bigger paycheck after leaving Congress from the government than they received in pay while in Congress. We can’t afford that.

After the employee and employee benefit packages and number of employees has been reduced it will be time to further reduce the federal budget.  It’s time to cut all the governments bloat.  Reduce the budget a further 10%.  Three areas will not be touched in the reductions.  They are defense, Social Security, and Medicare.  Hard working Americans and their employers pay into Social Security and Medicare all their working lives.  Congress has spent and mismanaged the money.  We don’t punish hard working Americans in their retirement years because of a corrupt Congress.

Obamacare Will Not Improve Health Care

Obamacare will not improve health care in America.  Obamacare is socialized health care.  It has everything to do with control of your life.  You can’t find one thing in the 2700 pages that improves quality of care in Obamacare. What you will find is the federal government taking over your health care.

On a daily basis we receive emails at SpeakNowAmerica and SpeakNowConservatives.  We also look at some of the comments on Yahoo and other places.  Some of these are almost frightening.  Take the public schools, Barack Hussein Obama, Democrats, and main stream media have done an excellent job of dumbing down America.

Fraud number 1 is that Obamacare is going to improve health care and give more Americans health care for less money.  If that was true they wouldn’t be slashing $500 billion from Medicare.  They wouldn’t be increasing and creating new taxes if health care was going to cost less.  There is no free lunch.

Fraud number 2 is that 45,000 Americans die every year because they don’t have health care.  No one by law is turned away from emergency rooms including illegal aliens.  We pay the bill with higher costs to those of us who pay for our care.

Harry Reid pulled that 45,000 number from out of the thin air.  He has no proof of it.  If the number was true why won’t Obamacare start phasing in until 4 years after it’s passed?  Will Obama, Reid, and Pelosi be responsible for over 160,000 Americans deaths?

Fraud number 3 is that Obamacare will improve health care.  Obamacare will be an extension of Medicaid.  The federal government has done such a good job with Medicaid that costs have skyrocketed and many doctors will not take Medicaid patients.

Fraud number 4 is that Obamacare will be budget neutral.  This is the biggest fraud of them all.  The $1 trillion figure over 10 years is a sham.  They will start taxing you as soon as Obamacare becomes law.  Slowly 4 years after the taxes start Obamacare will be phased in.  The true costs have been estimated at $2.5 trillion and no one for the Obama side has disputed this figure.

Fraud number 5 is that health care is a right.  Where in the Constitution or the Bill of Rights will you find the right of health care?  Obamacare takes the rights of working Americans away from us.  It will limit our health care and force people who work to pay for those who refuse to work.  This is a mass expansion of the ‘Great Society.’  That LBJ boondoggle has seen generations of people not work because the government pays them not to.

Improvements need to be made in health care.  Obamacare is NOT those improvements.  Obamacare is socialized health care and has not worked anywhere in the world, unless you want less health care and want to bankrupt America while getting less.

Over 60% of Americans don’t want Obamacare.  Obama, Pelosi, and Reid though don’t care.  They want to control you through Obamacare.  As we have already seen by any corrupt means possible they will try to force Obamacare on America.

Rasmussen Congress Rating At All Time Low

In public opinion pollster Scott Rasmussen’s latest tracking poll, just 25% of respondents said they strongly approve of Barack Hussein Obama’s job performance, while 42% strongly disapprove. That “certainly does” cause problems for his agenda, according to Rasmussen.

Rasmussen also said that Americans remain firmly opposed to the Democrats’ healthcare reform plan; Republicans have momentum going into the midterm elections, and declared that President Obama’s low approval rating will cause problems for his agenda.

The latest Rasmussen poll found that only 44 percent of Americans favor the healthcare reform plan, and those who strongly oppose it outnumber those who strongly favor it by a margin of nearly 2 to 1.  “Democrats love it, Republicans and independents don’t. The healthcare summit did nothing to change those basic fundamentals of public opinion.

More than 7 out of 10 respondents in a recent Rasmussen survey said Congress is doing a poor job, the highest disapproval level ever recorded.  If Democrats use reconciliation as an end run to force through their healthcare reform plan, that would please Democratic activists who are “so frustrated” that they have majorities in the House and Senate and can’t get anything done, Rasmussen said.

“However Republicans and unaffiliated voters would react very negatively. Overall I think that would just increase the momentum for the Republicans heading into the midterm elections.”


 There is also frustration building because the single most important issue to most people is the economy and jobs, and they don’t see Congress focusing attention on that, Rasmussen said.   He said that the federal bailouts were what most angered Americans, and said the political class in Washington “has really lost touch with the notion of a self-governing society.”

 “Put it all together you’ve got 75 percent of Americans who are angry at the policies of the government, 63 percent who say it would be great if most incumbents were defeated in their bid for re-election this year, and only 27 percent — one out of four Americans — who believe their own representative in Congress is the best person for the job.”

America is speaking.  Too many in Washington though are deaf to what we are saying.  The 2010 elections will wake them up.  Then it will be too late for them and America will be headed back to freedom.

Pelosi Says Public Option Very Popular With Americans

Nancy Pelosi either has her head buried in the sand or she is living on another planet.  She as does Barack Hussein Obama refuses to look at the facts on Obamacare socialized health care.  A Gallup poll released in November 13, 2009 found that the majority of Americans do not think health care coverage is the government’s responsibility.

Sunday morning on State of the Union on CNN, Candy Crowley the host asked Nancy Pelosi, "Why didn't you, at the very beginning, say, 'Come on in here, Congressman Boehner. Come on in here, Congressman Pence. Let's sit down. Where do we start on the health bill?'  Not to kind of present a package and then say, 'Well, amend it if you want.' Why didn't you invite the Republicans?"
Pelosi responded,  "They had had plenty of opportunity, uh, to make their voices heard, and if they wanted to truly have it. 

Bipartisanship is a two-way street.  But let me say this.  The bill can be bipartisan even though the votes might not be bipartisan, because they have made their imprint on this."

Pelosi further said, "The American people need it. Why are we here?  We're not here just on self-perpetuate our service in Congress.  We're here to do the job for the American people, to get them results that gives them not only health security but economic security because the health issue is an economic issue for -- for America's families."

"They'll like it once they've seen the details."    Pelosi Americans have seen the details and we don’t like it.  Gallup poll released December 16, 2009 found that the majority of Americans would advise their member of Congress to vote against the health care bill.

For purely ideological purposes and against the American will Pelosi is telling Democrat Congressmen to walk the plank for Obamacare socialized health care.  What are Obama, Pelosi, and Reid promising these Congressmen after they lose their Congressional seat? This is the largest power grab ever in America’s history.

Obama, Pelosi, and Reid need to look at the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.  They are supposed to represent ‘We The People.’  Not destroy America’s health care.

GOP Needs A Strong Conservative Voice

Conservative Republicans should have a better feeling after the health care summit.  The GOP was represented well and surpassed many people’s expectations.  The Representatives and Senators were well prepared, knew their facts, and were very articulate.  And too they weren’t arrogant and rude as were Barack Hussein Obama and many of the Democrats.

Now is the time for strong conservative leadership in the GOP.  The RINO’s have nearly destroyed the party and want to go even further to left.  It’s time to tell the old guard; the RINO’s that America wants conservative values and leadership.

One such conservative leader is Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC).  In the CPAC straw poll, DeMint dominated the pack. He had the highest favorable ratings 73% and lowest unfavorable ratings 8% of anyone there.  He scored higher popularity than Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Mike Pence, John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, or Michael Steele.

It would be easy to dismiss the polling except that, DeMint’s popularity scores across the field from young to old, conservative to libertarian oriented.  It is because Jim DeMint is actually doing what other Republicans talk about, staying true to conservative values and recruiting conservatives.

From Chuck DeVore to Michael Williams to Pat Toomey to Marco Rubio, Jim DeMint is picking, funding, and supporting conservatives across the nation in stark contrast to other Republican leaders. He everyday is helping other conservative Republicans get the message out.

DeMint is not afraid to involve himself in a primary. In the Senate he is not afraid to pick tough fights and challenge his own party to do what is right. DeMint does not just talk the talk, but he unapologetically walks the walk. Is it any wonder the old guard, the RINO’s don’t like Jim DeMint?  He is a true conservative with true conservative values.  The RINO’s don’t like that.

Biden Taxpayers Got “Moneys Worth” From Stimulus

Joe Biden asserted in an interview that taxpayers have "gotten their money's worth" out of the $787 billion stimulus program that Congress passed during the depths of the recession.  Biden defended the program against accusations by Republicans critics that it hasn't been the job-manufacturing machine the administration promised to the American people.

The Labor Department said Thursday that first-time claims for unemployment insurance rose by 22,000 to a seasonally adjusted 496,000. Wall Street analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected a drop to 455,000.  The number of Americans filing for initial unemployment insurance has climbed more than 12% over the past two weeks.

Barack Obama hailed last Wednesday's one-year-old economic stimulus law as an accomplishment that staved off another Great Depression and kept up to 2 million people on the job.  "One year later, it is largely thanks to the recovery act that a second depression is no longer a possibility," Obama said.  Obama made repeated references to how well, in his view, his government has done with the stimulus.

Obama and Biden say the stimulus bill is working.  Where and how is it working?  More people are losing their jobs daily.  More people are losing their homes daily.  How can they say the stimulus bill is working?

Is it working when the government is paying over $50,000 a house to weatherize them?  Is it working when they counted part time summer jobs as jobs?  The waste and graft we have seen in the stimulus bill is ridiculous. The only way Obama and Biden can say the stimulus bill is working and we are getting our ‘money’s worth’ is if they never intended for the stimulus bill to create or save jobs.
