Toby Keith endorses Obama?
It has been brought to our attention that Toby Keith in a recent interview clarified statements that were made and spun to make it appear he was endorsing Obama. We appreciate being informed and would like to make the link to the interview available to all:

Tell us this just isn’t true...
Why can’t actors, singers and comedians and the like do what they do best and entertain us? Why do they think they are even remotely qualified to endorse anyone, never mind a candidate for the President of the United States! Now we see Country Music Artist Toby Keith has endorsed Obama.
The sad thing is they are able to reach huge audiences because of their popularity and spew out their uneducated reasons for endorsement. We can only hope that the majority of voters who see and hear about these endorsements do not vote just because Toby Keith said so, or Tom Hanks, or ………… In fact it backfires sometimes; here are a few comments from Toby Keith’s page that is about now running 98/2 against this endorsement that is a pretty hefty percentage. I would say that Toby messed up, he might soon be on the tour bus with the Dixie Chicks, the very group he put down a few years ago for talking down President Bush.
Aug 20 2008 3:34 PM “Wow, this just goes to show entertainers should really not talk about politics. Obama? Are you kidding me? The guy is a racist black radical communist. A patriot you might be, but a dangerously misinformed one you are. You won't get another dime of my money.”

I've believed in you and loved you for years please don't make me throw your CD's away and not buy tickets to see you any more. please reconsider your values. It goes on and on. Ok I will admit it, I had no self control, I couldn’t hold back, I had to make myself heard! Being from the South I grew up with country music, it is by no means my only choice of music but I actually do (maybe that is did) like Toby Keith because I love his Patriotism and I love all he does for our troops. Here is my comment on his page:

Sooooo now you have changed your mind because you think that Obama has it going on because he finally went over to Afghanistan? Yes, ok Toby vote for a person because during the Presidential campaign he went over to Afghanistan or Iraq so he could show he really, really, really, is patriotic. DON'T you dare judge a candidate based on their past performance, it would be so wrong to go look at their records, see what they voted for or against. See how that lined up with your beliefs. See if they were patriotic prior to the campaign. How many times did they care to go over to Iraq and Afghanistan prior to knowing they would get press about it? DON'T you dare do this Toby because then we might think you have a lick of sense about you! Too bad because i'm a country girl I liked you until you decided to speak! So folks, please make your own decision. Don’t depend on some uneducated performer to tell you who you should and should not vote for. Educate yourself and stand behind your decision.
