McCain Picks Palin for V.P. Running mate.

McCain Picks Palin for Vice Presidential running mate!
Sarah Palin, born Sarah Louise Heath, born February 11, 1964 in Sandpoint Idaho has just been etched into history forever.
She is only the second female vice presidential candidate on a major party ticket and the very first for the GOP. The Republican Governor of Alaska for the past two years, is not all that well known, she does not fit into many of the Washington molds which might in fact be a boost for McCain. Barack Obama promised change and picked a 36 year veteran of Washington in Joe Biden, Palin, a conservative is the new kid on the block. Don't let that fool you though, Sarah Palin is known as a maverick in her own right. She is not afraid to clash with others in her party over issues she feels strongly about.
The 44 year old Governor, graduated from the University of Idaho, with a B.S. in Communications - Journalism, 1987. Married to Todd Palin she is the mother of five children, including her youngest, a baby born with down syndrome. Sarah Palin is a generation younger that Sen. Joseph Biden, she brings to John McCain's campaign the working class roots and appeal to female voters. Sarah’s a lifetime member of the NRA and enjoys hunting, fishing, Alaska history, and all that Alaska’s great outdoors has to offer.
Sarah has also served as Chairman of Alaska’s Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, which regulates Alaska’s most valuable non-renewable resources: oil and gas. She also served on the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission. Sarah was named one of Alaska’s “Top 40 Under 40″, Alaska’s Public Works “Person of the Year”, and was recently inducted into the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society at Alaska Pacific University.
