Czars, Czars and more Czars
Saving America Part 9
Up to 34 and counting........

Soon will need a Czar to oversee the army of czars now beginning to amass in the Obama White House. The latest number of czars is now at 34 and growing.
Representative Jack Kingston, July 8, speaking from the House floor regarding what he refers to as “the overwhelming reliance on specially appointed czars by the Obama Administration. … With six-figure salaries and staff abounding, why should the American people be forced to pay millions of their tax dollars for these czars that have bypassed Congress?”
He goes on to say that the Obama Administration is increasingly relying on special appointments to advance his agenda thus bypassing the Congress and Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution which entrusts the U.S. Senate to advise and provide consent on excutive nominations.
You may read the entire proposed bill here:

It reads:
"To provide that appropriated funds may not be used to
pay for any salaries or expenses of any task force, council,
or similar office which is established by or at the
direction of the President and headed by an individual
who has been inappropriately appointed to such position
(on other than an interim basis), without the advice
and consent of the Senate."

The Obama administration will tell you this is no different than any other presidency where the President picks his cabinet members and this is true. However...Bush had maybe four of them. Salaries range from about $150,000 - $172,000 not including benefits, staff and office space. So the real question is who is watching over the Czars? President Obama has given many of these Czars power over cabinet level officials, who by the way do need Congressional approval. It defies common sense to think that these czars are anything other than a blatant power grab by the Administration.
Some question it and say it is unconstitutional. In fact, several months ago the top-ranking Democrat in the Senate, Robert Byrd of West Virginia wrote to President Obama contending that the President’s appointment of czars violate both the constitutional system of checks and balances and the constitutional separation of powers. Senator Byrd went even further, saying that this was a clear attempt by the White House to avoid congressional oversight. In his letter to the President Senator Byrd wrote “As presidential assistants and advisers, these White House staffers are not accountable for their actions to the Congress, to cabinet officials, or to virtually anyone but the President. They rarely testify before congressional committees, and often shield the information and decision-making process behind the assertion of executive privilege.”
Is there not a conflict with having both cabinet officials and czars? We along with many others think so. Let's face it, if a cabinet official makes a recommendation and the czar disagrees who is the President going to lean to? The whole reason for cabinet members is that they are vetted in the Congress/Senate and they are accountable. These czars are making decisions that affect all of us, they are doing so with no accountability, no checks and balances in place. This is OUR life America.
Our Democracy allows us to elect our representatives and make them accountable to us yet these Czars are accountable to no one except Obama allowing him way more control than he is supposed to have. We have an elected President with no experience other than community organization, unable to serve our nation because of this lack of experience and therefore he feels he needs these czars to make up for his inadequecy.
Of course we know that his plan all along has been to rule this nation, this is a very big step forward to his acheiving his dream. This has to be stopped or we are going to be well on our way to dangerous territory. Once there, it will be too late for us to take back our country, it will be gone.
