Good For Foreign Automakers Your Tax Dollars Pay For Foreign Cars

Congress is ready to plunk $2 billion more into the clunker program.  The only way people will buy the cars the elitist progressive liberals want them to, is $4500 of your tax money given to them.

As a House of Representatives debated the hastily crafted measure for $2 billion more, Representative Jerry Lewis (R-CA), lamented that there had been “not one hearing on the cash for clunkers program on the Appropriations Committee,” and no consideration by the House of how the problem had worked so far or how much more money you would need in the future.  “Here we are shoveling another $2 billion out the door,” he said.

Elitist progressive liberal Barack Hussein Obama and the Democrats are bragging what a success the clunker program is.  How many of your tax dollars are going to foreign automakers?  Foreign cars qualify for purchase under that clunker program.

In less than a week one billion dollars of your tax money has gone to purchase new cars.  But only cars the elitist progressive liberal Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid want you to buy.  The cars you buy are now decided by the elitist progressive liberals.

Up to $4500 per car from your tax dollars if you trade in a car the elitist progressive liberals don’t like.  You can then put the $4500 down on a car they like.

If I understand this right, if you trade in a Ford Focus you get no government money.  If you buy a Ford F150 or a Ford Explorer you get no government money.  If you buy a Toyota Prius the elitist progressive liberals like you and you get $4500 of American tax payer money to buy a foreign car.

This would be a tremendous plan except for two things.  Most cars the elitist progressive liberal Obama think you should drive are not the cars most Americans want.  Also a large portion of your tax dollars are going to foreign car makers under this plan.

Elitist liberal progressive Obama, Pelosi, and Reid don’t care about your safety or your comfort.  Unsafely cram your children into a small car.  They have their limousines and Escalades.  What do they care if you are being made to give up safety and comfort for the cars they think you should own.

After the dealers take these cars then they have to destroy them.  Yes destroy the engine and crush the cars. So much for the used auto parts and salvage yard industry.
America there must be something Congress does well.  I’m not sure what it is but meddling with the economy isn’t one of the things they do well.  Why America are your tax dollars making down payments on foreign cars?
