The Senator Says A Lot About America And Obamacare

Senator Tom Coburn M.D. (R-OK) spoke at the Code Red Rally in Washington last week. America needs to hear clearly what he said. First he thanked the crowd for coming and said citizen involvement in the process is vital to regaining lost freedoms.

“What our country lacks is our active involvement to return freedom to its rightful owners -- to give it back to us again,” Senator Coburn said.  “The health care bill isn’t about health care.  The health care bill is about government control… it’s about limiting the freedom to choose for you and your family.”

Coburn continued, “I’ve practiced medicine for over 25 years.”  I’m a two-time cancer survivor.  We have the best health care system in the world.  It doesn’t mean that there aren’t problems.  But the government runs 60 percent of health care in America today.  This bill will move another 20 percent of health care under the control of the government.”

“What they have is three different groups, whether it’s the Preventative Services Task Force, the Medicare Advisory Commission or the cost Comparative Effectiveness panel, all three of those will move us to a position where the government with make your choices for you,” Coburn said.  “They will say what they will pay for, what’s not allowed, what they’ll pay for research for.  In other words you will move the choice away from you and your physician to a government agency, so therefore your choices will be limited. … It’s what they have in Europe now.”

“Medicare is illegally rationing health care now by what they’re limiting,” Coburn continued.  “When they say you’re 80 years old and you have a tumor mass but you can’t have a virtual colonoscopy.  They say you have to have another procedure and you may die from the procedure, when there’s a procedure readily available that doesn’t pose any risk but you can’t have it, that’s rationing health care now.”

“And you can’t pay for it yourself,” Coburn said.  “It’s illegal to pay for it if the government says you can’t have it.  If you’re on Medicare you can’t go buy it with your own money.  So we’re going to end up with a two-tiered medical system.”

America heed what Senator Coburn said about Obamacare socialized health care.  Obamacare isn’t about better health care or affordable health care for you.  Obamacare is to control you and take away your rights.  Obamacare is rationed socialized European health care.

 The socialist Democrats don’t care about you or your health care.  They care about controlling you.  Stay engaged America keep the pressure on your Representatives and Senators.  It’ not too late to stop the destruction of our health care with Obamacare.
