Tewksbury MA Banishes Christmas Vacation

Part V The Lefts Assault On American Values

School officials in the town of Tewksbury have voted unanimously to banish ‘Christmas’ vacation. Christmas vacation is out and winter holiday is in.   Most local residents are outraged by the decision.  The lefts assault on Christian values marches forward.  How can ‘Christmas’ vacation be banished?

“It is a way to be more inclusive and more reflective of 2010, where you have so many people from so many walks of life who don’t necessarily observe Christmas,” former School Committee member Richard O’Neill told the Lowell Sun. He introduced the recommendation last March.

“Political correctness had nothing to do with it,” he told the newspaper. The school system said they wanted to give Christmas a generic designation similar to other holiday breaks.

Basil Doucette Jr., told the newspaper he is offended by anybody who is offended.  “Come on. Who’s it hurting?” Doucette said. “They’ve called it Christmas vacation for years. Now all of a sudden we’re telling the little ones that it’s not all right? I’m too old to start changing now.”

“They’re changing the name? Why? Who got offended now?” asked Mary Firth. “I’m not against anyone’s religion, whether they’re Jewish or Muslim or anything else. I don’t even have children in the school system. But it concerns me that you start with this and who knows where it stops. Once Tewksbury does it, all these other towns are going to follow.”

Mary Firth is right.  Where does it stop?  Political correctness and the lefts hate of Christianity  is going too far and as far as they are concerned it will only stop when Christianity is banned in America.
