Vermont School Bans Pledge of Allegiance

Part XII The Lefts Assault On American Values

The Pledge of Allegiance is offensive to some people in Woodbury, Vermont and that’s one reason kids at Woodbury Elementary School are not allowed to recite the pledge, at least in their classrooms.   Principal Micheala Martin told the Associated Press, “We don’t want to isolate children every day in their own classroom or make them feel they’re different.”

Kids who do want to display their patriotism must leave class and gather in the gym.  Why not make the unpatriotic kids go to the gym?  Isn’t sending the patriotic kids to the gym isolating them and making them feel different?

I pledge allegiance to the flag, of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.  Principal Martin would you please tell us which words in the pledge are the most offensive?

Ted Tedesco wants to change this ridiculous policy. He’s a retired Marine and has kids who attend the school. Mr. Tedesco is circulating a petition demanding the school return the pledge to the classroom and it’s creating quite a bit of controversy.

In America how can the Pledge of Allegiance cause a controversy?  These children should be taught to be proud of being an American.  They should not be sent to the gym if they want to honor America.  This is further proof of political correctness run amok.
